Canada to Generate Jobs Opportunities for International People : Film & Television Industry

Alberta is one of the most famous American movies and television series. Interstellar, Ghostbusters, Fragile Rock, The Last of Us, and Fargo are just a few of the public figure productions made in Alberta.

"Alberta's film industry has twice over boost in production value and is becoming one of the best rising industries in North America," Alberta Labor Secretary Doug Schweitzer said in a press statement.

The government of Canada assists Alberta to set the budget of the full amount of $70 million for the Film and Television Tax Credit series for 2022 to 2023 and $225 million from 2024 to 2025.


The budget will help to invite international people to immigrate to Canada and the province and will generate additional 12,500 direct and indirect job opportunities for skilled workers.

The administration provides benefits to production companies for producing qualifying films, television series, and other film productions in the province with an Alberta refundable tax credit certificate for qualifying labor and production costs of Alberta.

How are Work permits and visas are given to international film production companies?

The Government has offered a special work permit class to compose it uncomplicated for the critical production team to work in Canada. An immigrant can apply for a work permit like Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
